ASSBI Past ANNUAL CONFERENCES

2023 ASSBI Conference

Download Programme Here!

On behalf of the organising committee, you are warmly invited to the 46th Annual Brain Impairment Conference of ASSBI. The theme for this year is "Moving Forward Together" and will be presented both in-person and virtually. We will be holding the conference at the magnificent Double Tree by Hilton Esplanade in Darwin, NT, Australia!

The exciting program of international and national speakers will reflect on the ways we connect and collaborate in rehabilitation as individuals, communities, systems and services.

The conference will be a Hybrid event with delegates attending in-person and via livestream. ALL presentations will be recorded and will be available on demand for 90 days post-conference.

There will be four half-day workshops on Thursday 4th May and addresses from international and national speakers over the two days of the conference on Friday 5th May and Saturday 6th May. These include international keynotes by Professors Dawn Neumann and David Shum, national keynotes by Associate Professors Emma Sciberras and Sarah Russell. ASSBI’s President Elect, Dana Wong will be giving the Presidential Address.

In addition to platform presentations there will be several “how-to” sessions, datablitz presentations and posters. The 2023 program will involve a broad range of presentations including platform presentations, “how-to” sessions, datablitz and posters taken from submitted abstracts which will cover the theme of the conference – Moving Forward Together – as well as other facets of brain impairment.

Should be an amazing experience after many years of 100% Virtual Sessions.
