Hear from our members on why they join ASSBI and the benefits the receive.
I went though Monash Uni. The neuropsych program was led by Jennie Ponsford, and had a strong rehab focus. We were encouraged to attend an ASSBI conference being held in Melbourne whilst I was a student, and I found the conference to be very helpful. My career has been in ABI rehab, and I find the ASSBI conferences more relevant to my work than the neuropsych specific conferences I occasionally attend, as there is still a strong multi-disciplinary and rehab focus. The most recent conference format that included the "How to" sessions was particularly interesting.
I remain a member because of the low cost of membership and the conference discount. The online PD opportunities have been great, and I'd be keen to participate in more of these in the future.
I joined ASSBI to be part of a multi-disciplinary community of clinicians and researchers and stay because of the quality of opportunities to engage in PD and because membership costs are reasonable. Partaking in external initiatives such as BrainSpan I think is fantastic Nicci Grace
